It is important that you take the time to create a good profile as that will allow you to get more responses and to have a better chance of finding more suitable connections.
It is essential that you are honest with the information that you put on your profile and don’t add information that you think people might like to read. You want to attract people who are most suited to your real personality and the things that are important in your life and that can only happen if you tell them what you are really like.
You should also take the time to get a good photo for your profile and don’t be satisfied with one that doesn’t look flattering.
Get someone to take a shot of you with a digital camera and look relaxed when they do it. You could also look through recent photos that have been taken of you doing things you like and use one of them as they will represent you in your preferred surroundings and in a state where you are most comfortable.
When you write up your profile try to make it unique adding humor or comments that will make someone stop and take notice. It is things like this that make others want to get more information and make contact with you.
You can get some ideas from other people’s profiles but often it is better to just write yours as you go and don’t let outside factors affect what you write.
Think, when you are writing your profile, if it is something that would make others take notice out of the thousands of profiles that they have to read.
If you find your profile uninteresting then you can be sure that most other people will feel the same. If you are adding humor you need to be careful what you say as sometimes it can come across wrong and put people off. It is quite a good idea to write as though you are talking to a friend as this will give your profile a friendly and relaxed tone that will encourage others to make contact with you and hopefully get more responses.
If you find you’re not getting the results you would like, get someone you know to read it and give you their opinion of what they think and where you should make changes.
Family and friends will quickly point out where they think you are going wrong.
